6-9 December 2024 / Yucatán México

An introductory Tai Chi retreat in Shambalanté, a beautiful hacienda located 15 minutes outside Izamal, Yucatán, Mexico.

Join us for a weekend of Tai Chi in the heart of Yucatán. Hacienda Shambalanté will be hosting our small group for an intensive three day introduction to Wudang Taichi. Shambalante is a 2000 year old Mayan village that was later turned into a colonial Spanish settlement inhabited by the Franciscans. It has now been repurposed as a retreat center in the Mayan jungle. It has long been a spiritual center where people have lived harmoniously with nature for thousands of years. The retreat includes transportation to and from the airport and the itinerary below.

Our retreat is a 3 day, intensive introduction to Wudang Longmen Tai Chi and traditional Taoist Ideology and Culture. This course is created to aid in coping with the stresses of everyday life. The program’s focus is on Chi Gong classes (Chinese yoga), Tai Chi workshops, and Moving meditations. If you are looking to achieve more balance and strength in a turbulent world, this luxury Tai Chi retreat in the Yucatan, Mexico is for you.

Enjoy a respite in the jungle of the Yucatan for daily sunrise and sunset Tai Chi, 5 pools on site, nutritious food, a cenote excursion and trip to colonial town Izamal.
